What We Hope to Do and Learn
If your Head Start agency thinks that Mom-Net may be appropriate, we want to work with you to set up the best way to implement Mom-Net within your agency. We understand that every agency is different and that a “one size fits all” approach will not work.
Learning in Cooperation
Once your agency determines that you may be interested in the Mom-Net Project, we will schedule a Zoom call to discuss the details of what implementation may look like. The implementation process is flexible and adaptable according to agency needs. Success relies on us learning from each other!
During the call, we will give you more information about what Mom-Net implementation involves, what the planning process and timeline look like, and answer any questions you may have. We will ask you about the unique needs of your agency and how we can make the process work for you.
Tailoring to Optimize Fit
If your agency decides to join the Mom-Net Project, we will work with you through every step of the way. Our experienced team will provide ongoing learning and support for the staff members you designate to be Mom-Net coaches. We will administer measures of maternal and child wellbeing before, during, and after Mom-Net so that we can let you know about the effectiveness of your efforts.
Most importantly, we will work with you throughout the project to ensure that Mom-Net meets the needs of your agency. We ask for a two-year commitment to allow time to fully integrate Mom-Net in your community.
Supporting Sustained Use
A main goal of the Mom-Net Project is to determine how Mom-Net can be effectively implemented by Head Start agencies on an ongoing basis. After two years of Mom-Net implementation at your agency, we will share impacts on maternal and child wellbeing and work with you to decide whether you would like to continue offering Mom-Net. If continued use of Mom-Net is desired, our team will help you plan to do so.
